MHA Teams Up with the Rochester Red Wings for Mental Health Awareness

Mental Health Association

We’re proud to announce our partnership with the Rochester Red Wings for their Sunday, May 4 game in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month!

This special event is not only a great day at the ballpark — it’s an opportunity to raise awareness, break the stigma around mental health, and spotlight the work of the Mental Health Association of Rochester.

Here’s what to expect:

  • On-field remarks from MHA President & CEO Valerie Way before the game

  • Our mission video featured on the stadium videoboard

  • A live radio interview with Val during the game broadcast

  • Custom lime green jerseys worn by Red Wings players — featuring a mental health awareness ribbon and a shattered design symbolizing “breaking the stigma”

    • Jerseys will be auctioned off post-game, with 100% of proceeds supporting MHA

  • An MHA info table in the breezeway, offering resources and connection opportunities

Game Details:

  • Sunday, May 4, 2025
